Camping

Whether you’re a newcomer or an old-timer to our family-friendly music festival (14 years old this year!), we can’t wait to welcome you. It will be bigger and better than ever and we know you will have a great time.

Our heartfelt thanks for your support. Our festival couldn’t happen without you, our fantastic volunteers (more than 200 of them) and the backing of our local community.

When visiting the festival please try not to disturb our neighbours and residents, especially when walking to and from the festival site through residential areas. Please also be considerate when you return to your campervans and tents and keep noise to an absolute minimum after 11pm and overnight.

To make the festival even more enjoyable and safe for everyone:

  • wear sunscreen and keep in the shade

  • stay hydrated

  • avoid bringing glass onto the festival site

  • consume alcohol in moderation

  • anyone who is drunk will be asked to leave

  • we will not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 and you may be challenged to provide ID if you look under 25

  • drug dealing will not be tolerated and will be reported to the police

  • you will be asked to leave if you take illicit drugs.

And finally, much as we love having you please help us to be kind to our environment by leaving no trace behind when you go.

Huge thanks.

Jeremy Horton

Car park and campsite

  • To get to the car park and campsite take the B4293 from Chepstow or Monmouth or put NP16 6NX into your satnav and follow the signs as you approach, or use the following Google Maps and what3words locations which point directly to the car park entrance:

Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/mZrVc2qhJvn8PumeA

what3words: ///tooth.blacked.tastes

  • The car park and campsite are open from 10am on Friday 24 May until 12pm on Monday 27 May. Please follow our marshals’ instructions and help us to keep the site safe.

  • For your personal safety use the official, marked pedestrian route to and from the festival site including the well signposted pedestrian crossing manned during festival open hours.

  • Well behaved dogs are allowed on the campsite but no animals are allowed on the festival site with the exception of assistance dogs (for which you may be asked for evidence).

Festival site

  • Officially open 5.30pm on Friday 24 May and 10am on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May. You can visit the site from 8.30am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for breakfasts in the village hall and from selected traders.

Festival ticket desk and wristbands

  • Follow the pedestrian route into the festival to get to the ticket desk.

  • Your ticket will be scanned at the ticket desk and you will be issued with a wristband. Note, a ticket can only be used once.

  • If you haven’t bought your ticket by the time you arrive on site you don’t have to wait to buy it at the ticket desk. Buy on the way into the festival site through https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/devauden

  • Every attendee, including children under 6, but excluding babies must wear a wristband. Please wear it and display it. Without it you’ll be asked to leave the site.

Fresh water

  • There are fresh water taps at the campsite and across the festival site, all of which are well signposted. We don’t sell bottles of water at the festival.

  • Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle.

Showers

  • We know from your post-festival feedback that you’d like showers on the campsite – and that does make a whole lot of sense. Sadly, although we tried our best we couldn’t make it happen this year so they’ll be alongside the village hall.

Toilets

  • There are lots of toilets including facilities for disabled people on the campsite and festival site.

  • These are supplied with recycled Who Gives a Crap toilet rolls – please don’t take them away. Half the company’s profits go to clean water and sanitation non profit organisations.

  • Please leave the toilets as you would expect to find them.

  • No nappies in the toilets please.

Baby feeding and changing

  • Available at The Little Hygge Caravan with Little Pips (see site map).

  • Changing facilities are also available in the disabled toilets.

Breakfast

  • Served 8.30am to 10.30am in the village hall on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. Some food traders also open then.

  • The Pickled Pumpkin breakfast van will be at the campsite from 8.30am to 10.30am.

Yoga

  • Free sessions in the big top at 10am Saturday and Sunday, which are suitable for all ages.

  • No experience necessary. Don’t forget your yoga mat.

First aid

  • The first aid tent is by the food traders and is open during festival hours.

  • There is a defibrillator in the telephone box in the centre of the village on the corner of Wesley Way.

Security

  • Gates to the campsite are closed between midnight and 7am.

  • Our professional security team will patrol the campsite outside festival hours.

  • Signs at the campsite will display the number to call to reach the security team in an emergency.

  • If you need non-emergency assistance, contact a festival marshal (wearing a blue high-visibility vest).

Fire safety

  • There are fire extinguishers in all the major venues around the site, as well as trolleys with water and CO2 extinguishers on the campsite and festival site. CO2 extinguishers are for electrical fires.

  • All fire points are shown on the site plan.

Cash and card payments

  • The majority of traders, all bars and the ticket desk will be using card machines.

  • Cashback is available at the ticket desk.

  • The nearest cash points are in Chepstow.

Shops

  • Everyday essentials and newspapers are available from the village shop which is open 9am to noon on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Hygiene products and eco toiletries are available from Emporium 21 on the festival site.

Petrol stations

  • The nearest petrol stations are in Llanishen (north of Devauden on the B4293, with restricted hours), the BP garage on the A48 in Chepstow and the Tesco petrol station in Chepstow.

Please be kind to our environment

No offence but you lot don’t half create a load of rubbish! Still, we love a challenge so this year we’ve set ourselves a target of recovering 100% of recyclable materials on site. We’ll have twice as many bins on the campsite and throughout the festival site as last year.

To help you to help us, each bin will be clearly signposted to keep food, glass, plastic, cans and metal, paper, card and general (non-recyclables) separate from each other. We’ll also provide extra bin bags on the campsite for use in your tent or van. All we ask is that when they’re full, you sort and empty the contents into the right bins at the waste stations on the campsite.

Huge thanks in advance for your co-operation particularly from our lovely team of volunteers who get to spend their bank holiday Monday up to their armpits in rubbish, checking the right things are in the right bags. And to spare them the backbreaking task of combing the site for cigarette ends and discarded vapes, we’ll be providing butt bins and vape buckets this year. Please be kind to our volunteers and use them!

And finally, please remember

  • Maximum of 6 people allowed per tent.

  • Keep noise to minimum in camping area and when travelling to and from festival site.

  • Make no noise between midnight and 7am.

  • Open fires not allowed.

  • Keep barbecues off ground and monitor them at all times.

  • Parking and camping is at your own risk so ensure safety of your personal belongings.
